Biography
Cai Broom is a Hereford based photographer. His work is based around social issues.He first found a love for photography in 2002 when he borrowed a 35mm SLR camera from a friend to take on a trip to Peru.
On returning to the UK, Cai completed a City and Guilds Photography course at the Hereford College of Arts.
In 2005 Cai returned to the Hereford College of Arts and in 2008, he graduated with a first class BA honours degree in photography.
Cai has exhibited his work in both solo and group exhibitions and has twice taken part in the prestigious Hereford Photography Festival. In June 2008 he was awarded 2nd prize in the Brian Hatton Award. Cai currently works as Festival Co-ordinator for the Hereford Photography Festival, is a Photography Technician at Hereford College of Arts and is Gallery Technician at The Courtyard Centre for the Arts.
